		*	*		Barry Shackelford [Former Region 10 Ranked #1]	Kickboxing & Point Karate	Sparred him at Virginia Tech's Jhoon Rhee Martial Arts Club. He was one of the Assistant Instructors during my last year there as a Head Instructor.
			*		Bob Holly [Washington Redskin, 2nd String Quarterback, Philedelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons]	Martial Arts	Trained both him and his wife while he was with the Redskins.
			*		Brandon Lee [Actor, “The Crow”; the son of Bruce Lee]	Martial Arts	Brandon came to visit GM Jhoon Rhee prior to going to acting school. He came up on Sunday and kind of hung out where couple of the black belts hung out. He asked questions about developing speed, most of all. He didn't seem to know a whole lot about martial arts. I believe he was eighteen.
		*			Brenda Hund Lee	Point Karate	Used spar with her at Charlie Lee Karate Studios in the '90's.
		*	*	*	Charlie Lee [WAKO World Champion, Forms]	Kickboxing & Point Karate	I taught Charlie Lee his first musical form. Also helped prepare him in his fight against the Dominican Repulic's National Champion in kickboxing. Also competed with in in point karate.
	*		*		Danny Bocagno [Former PKA World Super Lightweight, #3]	Kickboxing, Boxing  & Point Karate	Danny was my instructor for about a month when I was a brown belt. Worked out with him when he was top rated fighter in the seniors division back in the '90's. Also, boxed wih him.
		*			David Moss [NASKA World Champion]	Point Karate	David Moss was Charlie Lee's instructor. I used to spar Dave and his students during their sparring sessions.
		*	*		Dong Kun Kim [7th Degree Hapkido/Hapmoodo Master]	Martial Arts	I got Master Kim started in martial arts when I was already a Black Belt. Currently he teaches Hapkido and was Youn Sung Lee's top instructor in Hapmudo.
				*	Eddie Butcher	Continuous Fighting	I competed in Burdyck's Battle of Baltimore backin '93 in the Continuous Fighting. There were five in the whole division including me. I wasn't sure who I had to fight but Eddie Butcher was a possibility. I'd consider him as a competitor since it was fate that I ended up fighting a FFKA North American Light-Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, instead.
		*			Elsa Cordero [NASKA World Champion; WAKO US Champion]	Kickboxing, Boxing & Continuous Fighting	Back in the '80's Elsa and I talked about getting together to help prepare her for continuous fighting match between herself and Christina Bannon Rodrigues. Although our get together was not materialized, I did work with her on kickboxing & boxing.
				*	FFKA North American Light Heavyweight Champion	Continuos Fighting	I almost KO'd this guy but lost on home town decision (Baltimore).
				*	Garry Mitcheck	Point Karate	I fought Garry at L.A.M.A. Nationals back in '82. The fight went to sudden death where I lost by a point. Garry ended up winning the division.
	*				Grand Master Jhoon Rhee [Father of US Tae Kwon Do; Inventor of Safe-T Equipment]	Martial Arts	I used to be one of the four members in the Jhoon Rhee National Demo Team. We used to travel with GM Rhee performing forms and doing sparring demonstrations.
				*	Greg Maye [NASKA World Champion]	Point Karate	Greg & I tested for our Black Belts on the same night back in 1977.
				*	Hakim Alstin [ISKA Amateur US and World Kickboxing Champion, PKL Amateur Full Contact Heavyweight Champion, 4 Time NASKA Heavyweight National Champion, USA WUKO Gold Medal Winner, 1988-1991 Gold Medal Winner for the Overall Men's Fighting Champion.]	Point Karate	I fought Hakim during my 2nd Degree Black Belt examination along with his brother, also who became World Champion and Dong Kun Kim, a current 7th Degree Black Belt in Hap Ki Do.
			*		Heath Weisiger	Boxing [Tough Man Contest]	Heath fought at an event at the ocean front bar at a Tough Man Contest. He was the runner-up against another guy I trained, James Franks.
		*			Helen Chung [NASKA Top Women Competitor; WAKO US Champion]	Point Karate	Use to spar Helen to help prepare her for tournaments.
		*	*		James Franks [Professional Boxer; Featherweight]	Boxing	James beat local favorite from Craig Smith Kickboxing Gym, Nelson Lebron at the Golden Gloves event on three occasions. James also knocked out a fighter from Blackhawk Kickboxing by the name of Norman Green, giving up 22 pounds and with no fight experience. James eventually turned pro. Also sparred James during the time frame when James used to work with Doran Spivey, local professional boxer who has the NABA US Championship Title.
	*				Jeff Smith [Former PKA World Light-Heavy Weight Champion '74-'80]	Martial Arts	Worked in many capacity in my development. Awarded my Green Belt and 1st Degree Brown Belt. Also worked with me one summer back in early '80's.
			*		Jeff Whisnant [2001 NAVPHIBASE Boxing Tournament 147 lb. Champion; 2001 NAVPHIBASE Boxing Tournament "Most Outstanding Boxer" Award.]	Boxing	I trained Jeff for the NAVY boxing show. He won his division. Also he won a special award, the only one, out of 50 other contestants. I helped Jeff's other teammates in the command where the command ended up with the Championship.
		*			Joey Shifflett (2005 NASKA World Champion; B.O.S.S. National Karate Team)	Point Karate	Moved around with him per his request on two separate occasions in the '80's. I think at L.A.M.A. back in '82 and at either U.S. Open in Florida or Battle of Atlanta, bact in mid-eighties. He was a Natially rated fighter out of South Carolina.
	*				John Chung [WAKO & NASKA World Champion]	Forms	John Chung awarded me my 4th Degree Black Belt at his system.
				*	LeRoy "Super Feet" Taylor [PKA World Lightweight Champion]	Continuous Fighting	As with the case with Eddie Butcher, LeRoy Taylor was amongst the five that were in the division for us all to fight. The guy I fought might have been one of his fighters who was the FFKA North American Light Heavyweight Champion. LeRoy Taylor acknowledged after the fight that I did almost knock him out and extended invitation to come train with him.
		*			Lori Lantrip	Point Karate	Lori was one of the female rated fighters that requested me to move around with her at 1982 L.A.M.A. Nationals prior to her competing.
		*	*		Mark Chang [NABC US Jr. Middleweight Champion]	Boxing & Kickboxing	I worked with Mark during his kickboxing days and after he fought several pro boxing matches. He solicited my help for his final fight which won him the NABC US Jr. Middleweight Championship Title.
			*		Meredith Byrum [ACR Rough N' Rowdy Brawl Boxing Contest Champion. Women's Lightweight]	Boxing & Kickboxing	One of my top female fighters. She won the "Tough Women Boxing Contest" beating out all of the women Hampton Roads including all the local female boxer's in the area. Meredith also fought in a kickboxing match against one of Steve Mann's girls and won a unanimous decision..
	*				Michael “The Cobra” Coles [PKA World Welterweight, #3, Retired U.S. Champion]	Martial Arts	Mike Coles was instrumental in getting me out of my shell towards the end of my teens.
		*	*		Mike Hess [PKA World Welterweight Contender]	Kickboxing	I used to spar Mike Hess while he was coming up in kickboxing. I was the "speed" guy that kept him sharp. I helped him prepare for his KO win over Blackhawk Walters, who at the time went by Bubba Walters.
			*		Mike Nelms [Washington Redskin, Kick Return, #21]	Martial Arts	I instructed Mike briefly in martial arts.
			*		Monte Coleman [Washington Redskin, Line-Backer, #51]	Martial Arts	I taught Monte martial arts during the hay day when the Skins won the Super Bowl. He got up to green belt under me then I went off to college at Virginia Tech. Monte brought Mel Kauffman [#55] on couple of occasions to watch me spar.
			*		Montgomery Giles	Boxing	A teen fighter. Silver Medalist at the 2011 VA/NC Silver Gloves Boxing Tournament.
	*				Neil Ehrlich [NASKA World Champ; PKA World Lightweight Contender]	Boxing & Kickboxing	Neil was instrumental in my martial arts training during my teen years. All my double and triple kicks were through Neil's influence.
		*			Nick Braaksma [NASKA #5 in Region 10]	Kickboxing	Used to spar with Nick during both JRI & WCJSK days.
			*		Nick Henney	Boxing & Kickboxing	Finalist at the ACR Rough 'N Rowdy Brawl, a Tough Man Contest; Nick also fought a Kickboxing match against one of Eastern Shore's Master Elton Trower's {World Champion in Breaking] fighters. They threw in the towel after the third round.
		*			Omar Olumee	Kickboxing & Point Karate	I used to spar Omar when he was rated point fighter. Also sparred him prior to him transitioning to kickboxing.
			*		Pedro Smith	Kickboxing	One of the fastest guys in Kickboxing. He fought under me in one event against Eastern Shore Karate Master Elton Trower's student. Like in Nick Henney's fight, they threw in the towel during the 3rd round. Pedro ended up moving to North Carolina.
			*		Ralph Anderson [2008 NAVPHIBASE Super Heavyweight Runner-Up]	Boxing	A civilian in the NAVY, after about one month of training under his belt, Ralph competed in the NAVPHIBASE Boxint Tournament. He beat out a guy trained and seconded by the Seven Cities' Coach, Rob "Machine" Matley for his first fight. Ralp was the runner up in the Super Heavyweight Division.
		*			Ray McCallum [PKA World Middleweight Contender; NASKA World Champion]	Point Karate	Back in early '80's, Helen Chung told me that Ray was visiting Jeff Smith's studio and asked if I was interested in meeting up with him and sparring. I remember sparring others but I only remember sparring Ray.
		*	*		Ricky Irvings [Washington Redskin, Running Back, #32]	Kickboxing	I sparred Ricky on few occasions. Worked with him mostly kickboxing although he would ask about boxing.
	*				Robert Crawford	Boxing/Kickboxing	Robert Crawford was a trainer out of Sugar Ray Leonards's gym in Landover, MD. He has offered to train me to compete in which I turned down at the time.
				*	Shaw Alstin [WAKO US Welterweight Champion]	Point Karate	Sparred Shaw during 2nd Degree Black Belt Exam. He was in my weight division but never fought again.
				*	Sonny Onoo [WKA World Bantamweight Contender; NASKA Nationally Ranked Competitor]	Point Karate	Fought against him at '82 LAMA Nationals.
				*	Steve “Nasty” Anderson [Nationally Ranked #1 Figher]	Point Karate	I worked in the capacity as the Head Coach in competing againt Steve Anderson's team. We fought them twice and beat them both times.
			*		Steve Gittleston [Former Professional Tennis Player]		Used to train him kickboxing. He was former Tang Soo Do practitioner at the time with rank of a Brown Belt.
				*	Tommy “Tornado” Williams [PKA Workd Welterweight Champion]	Point Karate	Was in the same division at Battle of Atlanta Tournament. Out of all the people there, he spotted me sitting in the stands, came up to chat. We had conversation regarding Kickboxing afterwards. Once again, even though we didn't fight, I consider him as a competitor.
			*		Willie "The Heat" Taylor [KICK World Welterweight Champion]	International Kickboxing	Among the people Taylor faced during his career were three former world champions -- William Joppy, Buddy McGirt and Frankie Randall. Willie had a Kickboxing Title shot that involved leg kicks. I offered to work in the capacity as a sparring partner but it never materialized. He did become the Champion of the World.
		*	*		Xavier Randall [2008 VA/NC Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament Super Heavyweight Runner-Up]	Boxing	Helped Xavier with fitness aspect of training helping him go down from 275 lb. to 201 lb. during the three year period. Help him secure a Runner-Up position at the 2008 Golden Gloves and used to spar with him to prepare for his competitions.
		*	*		Young Song Lee [Founder of Hapmudo]	Martial Arts	Sparred him at his Clinton, MD studio. Also used to teach him the Jhoon Rhee curriculum during his time at Jhoon Rhee Institute.
